Pours an amber-copper colour with a decent creamy off-white head that stays a while and leaves lacing all around. Very lightly carbonated. The nose is pretty sweet with butterscotch and toffee. There are also notes of vanilla from the oak and hints of spices like cinnamon. The toffee is in the taste as well but not as sweet as I thought. No burn in the mouthfeel and overall pretty smooth. Quite a nice experiment with these 21 year old barrels of Highland, but nothing worth continuing in their line of brews.

33cl bottle, Pours a gold/amber colour, not much in the way of bubbles or head. The nose has balsalmic vinegar and toffee and nothing really cleaning on the end. The taste is more toffee and there aren’t any fresh notes. The palate is light to medium, as is the structure and the finish is cloying - not great! Overall, I would crawl over this to get to a decent beer.

Okay brown-gold body with modest head. The aroma is citrus and caramel mixed with just a hint of mahogany and hazelnut; it’s both appetizing and confusing all at once, certainly not reminiscent of scotch, but definitely of elements related to scotch. The flavour is much what you’d think of a scotch and soda with just a bit more oomph in the mouthfeel to give it more body. I have mixed feelings about this one - it seems well done, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottled. Clear amber, minimal head. Concentrated aroma of sheer butterscotch. Sweet, buttery and fruity. Medium bodied with butter, butter, butter and butter.Way too buttery finish. I like butterscotch in my beer, but this is ridiculous.

330ml bottle, matured for 49 days, in a nice packaging. Initial one-finger, beige head reduced to a tiny layer. Dark amber body. Smell of dry oak and earthy malts. Flavoured with caramel malts and dried fruits with detectable notes of whisky. Sweet hops the aftertaste (hotel room, 02.12.2010).

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of butter and light scotch notes. Taste is a weird mix between some butter with some light warming notes of scotch. Body is light well some rounded notes of scotch with average carbonation. Another bad mix from a strange brewery.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bigtime diacetyl, some mild whiskybarrel, mild fruits as well as quite sweetish notes. Flavour is diacetyl, mild whiskyish notes, Mild vanillaish notes as well when it warms up a bit.

Hazy brown color, small white head. Strong diacetyl aroma, toffee and whisky. Medium-bodied. Toffee, whiskey, vanilla, oak, caramel, nice combination. Good whisky flavors. Typical I&G flavors too.

Bottled, white glass. Clear orange golden color, short head. Aroma of butter, butter, some oak, butter. Horrible sweet buttery stuff. Doesnt resemble beer by a mile. Absolute drain pour.

Bottle. A strange beer, drinkable but not exactly exciting. Very sweet taste, caramel, vanilla, oak, nuts and marzipan. I managed to drink the whole bottle....
