Big beige head. Beautiful reddish amber body. Syrupy caramelly toffee and vanilla fudge aroma with toffee and alcohol notes. Dense and harmonic. Dry-sweet raisiny toffee and vanilla grain taste with peppery caramel and perfume notes. Soft, velvety smooth mouthfeel. Light body. No real aftertaste, as it just stops short. Nice, but faintly artificial. (0.33l bottle, Cornelius, Edinburgh.)

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of butter, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with noets of malt, caramel, and butter, leading to a dry buttery finish. Thanks joergen for sharing.

Clear amber with a tiny off white head. Aroma had diacetyl, toasted malt, caramel and wood. Flavour had whiskey, toasted malt, caramel, wood and mild hops. Finished sweet.

33 cL clear bottle, courtesy of joergen. Pours clear and golden orange with a small, creamy and lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramelish, wooden and butterish. Sweet malty, vague wooden. Subdued vanilla note. Medium dry and roasted caramelish finish.

Second bottle (last) from the special swedish release, scotish tasting 2010-02-06, Göteborg, bottle (green box). First rating 4,3 new rating 3,8 average: 4,05 Older rating below! Flaska 10 grader D: helt underbar smörkola, som av kamraterna sa vid provning så doftade som när mormor kokade knäck. UTS: lite finare grån etikett en stdölen S: bra, jag var inte så nyanserad efter IPA provningen (9stycken) + en odue gouzue

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty toffee vanilla aroma. Sweetish malty vanilla flavor with some hints of wood. Has a sweetish malty vanilla and toffee finish.

Bottle 33cl. @ post Borefts BF 09 hotel tasting [ As Innis & Gunn Limited Edition Oak Aged Highland Cask ]. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091031]

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of toffee, butter, vanilla, heather and peaches. Malty, fruity taste with toffee, butter, ryvita and vanilla. Medium body, rather sweet. Dries out towards the end, saving it from getting cloying. Both bitterness and oak tend to come in the background of the dominant toffee and butter features. An interesting beer, however possibly not brilliant.

Pours nut brown with a creamy head. Smooth toffee aroma with oaky notes. Toffee and caramel flavour with salty liquorice notes. Also some notes of cherries. Harsh whisky and oak barrel finish. Pretty good for an Innis & Gunn beer.
