Bottle conditioned, Gold Medal Winning classic old style porter brewed with the addition of flaked barley. Dark and bitter sweet with hints of nut and liqourice from roasted malt. A long creamy and mellow fullness on the finish. Brewed with Pale, Black, Brown and Crystal malt with whole wheat, Fuggles and Challenger hops.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Roasted malt, chocolate, orange and liquorice in the aroma. Roasted, smooth and malty taste with notes of burnt malt, chocolate, liquorice and coffee. Enjoyable.

Bottle, not sure where I got this from, consumed outside camper at Bo Peep campsite, Adderbury, Nr Banbury, Oxon, 03.09.10 Pours dark brown with a filmy off-white head. There is some nuttiness and a touch of tangy fruits. A light bitterness is evident but the nuttiness more than anything shows through. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Chestnut colour with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee and fruit, with just a hint of ashy roast. Sweet fruity and toffee malty flavour with a slightly roasted finish

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, chocolate, light hoppy, moderate yeasty, licorice light notes. Flavor is moderate to light light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090808]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Skinnyviking. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a dense, creamy and tan head. Aroma is fruity and ashtray spiced. fruity, caramelish and mild spiced flavoured. Bitter and slight roasted breadish. Mild fruity and acidic finish.

Bottled. Very much very deep ruby colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is quite much caramel, some mild notes of herbs. Flavour is quite much caramel, hops, some spices, herbs and mild notes of grass.
