Rhymney Export 5.0% Our strongest and most popular ale, multiple award winning and full flavoured. A heady flavour from a combination of six malts, carefully and skilfully mixed by hand, which we believe provides an ale of exceptional character. Full bodied yet rounded, serious but eminently quaffable. Very fine and toothsome!

Looks flat but has an excellent fruity taste coupled with a pleasant bitter afterthought.

Bottle from Tesco Extra, Bridgend, Wales, 21.08.11 Pours dark amber good clarity, white head. Tastes pasteurised too me, soft in mouth but fruity with a decent tang and a dryness at the edge. Malty with some caramel flavours, it’s ok but I’m not a big fan. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

bottle, Waitrose Abergavenny. Clear deep golden colour, mid-sized fluffy head. Aroma of malts, bitter and perfumy hops and smoke. Full-bodied, bitter-sweet with a touch of smoke, reminding me of Bamberg smoked beers. Hints of caramel and toffee with a lingering hoppy finish. Very good!
