A golden ale with a hint of malt sweetness from caramalt with passion fruit and grapefruit aromas on the nose. First taste gives a complex zesty hop palate leading on to a fresh herby finish.
Nelson Sauvin hops give this beer some of the aroma and flavour characteristics similar to a Sauvignon blanc wine.

Pours a clear light golden colour with a small lasting white head. A sweet citrus fruity aroma. A light sweet biscuit malt taste, grapefruit, lemon, and sweet grassy flavours with a hoppy bitter finish. A nice pint.

Handpull cask at the Green Man, Stamford. Straw, clear with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is really light, but there’s definitely some grapefruit and lemon if you work hard enough. Taste starts bitter and hoppy, but there’s a hell of a load of malt behind this. Very nicely carbonated. Finish has some fruity astringency alongside a transient umami. Odd beer, likable enough and certainly well made but not my favourite by Brewster’s.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Pale golden with a thin head. Has a balanced malt-hop with a dirty nose in this respect - although mainly malty. Has a fairly malty taste too and a medium bitterness.

Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Vivid gold with a small white head. Lots of citrus with a hint of tropical fruit and a crisp, bitter finish. Clear US influence. Good golden ale this.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 23 Apr 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grass and passion fruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grass, citrus, resin, tropical fruit and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight malt sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
