A golden ale with a hint of malt sweetness from caramalt with passion fruit and grapefruit aromas on the nose. First taste gives a complex zesty hop palate leading on to a fresh herby finish.
Nelson Sauvin hops give this beer some of the aroma and flavour characteristics similar to a Sauvignon blanc wine.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale straw with a tight white head; grainy aroma with some lemony citrus; smooth and grainy with a sweet fruity flavour; followed by a good mouthful of hops giving a grapefruit bitterness. Not bad, but a poor second to the Slaters Haka.

Cask, handpump at The Victoria Hotel, Beeston, Nottinghamshire 06.11.10 Mid gold colour with white head. This is crisp in the bite but with honey sweetness and hoppiness to follow. A hoppy bitterness lingers on the roof of the mouth, enjoyable. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, slight haze, thin lasting beige. Good hoppy blond/golden bitter. Lovely tasty hops to be honest. What a golden ale should be. Gripping hop.

Sampled, cask from the East Coast Bar at GBBF 09. Golden body with a clear, shiny surface. Smell of fresh juicy fruits. The flavour is a balanced blend of fresh and late fruits. Spicy hops to the tail. Likeable (Earls Court, London 05.08.2009).
