Brewed with care and precision, Mary’s beer is a deep ruby mild that boasts an aroma full of chocolate and smoked malty notes. But that’s not all – there’s also a hint of hops that rounds out the experience nicely.
When you take your first sip of Mary’s Ruby Mild, you’ll notice the clean mouthfeel and the sweetness that seeps through the warm Goldings finish. It’s a perfect balance of flavours – not too bitter, not too sweet.
Overall, Mary’s Ruby Mild is a perfect example of what an English dark mild ale should be. It’s full of flavour, but not overly heavy or boozy. So why not try a pint next time you’re looking for something warm and satisfying? Cheers!

Cask at Babington Arms, Derby Pours almost black with a good cream head. Aroma is mainly sweet malts. These feature strongly in the mouth as well, but share the honours with bitter coffee. Later on liquorice makes and appearance, with hints of chocolate, spices and fruits. Despite that, it is a bit watery. Finish has toffee and liquorice. A nice and complex mild – my sort of beer.

Pours a clear deep dark red colour with a thick foamy tan head. A rich chocolatey and ripe dark fruit aroma. A rich malty taste, moderately sweet with some dark fruit flavours and a light spicy bite in the finish. Nice.

Lovely dark brown and subtle red color. Nice tan head that leaves a fine lacing down the sides of the glass. Mellow aroma. Medium (light) body and a soft carbonation. Mellow sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Bready, some roast, mild chocolate and a bit fruity flavor. A really decent and nice mild ale.
