With its unique citrus character, smooth drinkability, and distinctive hop character, Drifter Pale Ale is truly an original. Brewed with generous amounts of Summit hops, a variety known for their intense citrus flavors and aromas, Drifter has a taste unique to the Pale Ale category. True to style, the bittering hops are perceptible enough to give the beer a crisp, clean, quenching finish, yet also soft enough to keep the beer smooth and balanced.

Bottle. Copper color with an off-white head. Very fruity (summer fruit, ruby red grapefruit) aroma. LIghter bodied than expected. Hop fruit flavor without a lot of bitterness. Some caramel malt, but not enough to give it the body you want it to have. Lingering fruit and a bit of sweetness. LIghter bodied.

Bottle: Clear copper pour with a medium white head and good lacing. Nose of pine and citrus hops, malt, sugary notes, and caramel. Tastes of malta, earthy, pine hops, light citrus, and more floral hops. Lingering and dry finish, medium body.

Aroma of pine filled the room as the cap came off. Aroma of grapefruit filled the glass. Nice copper color with a beige head that lasts for awhile. Starts with pine, turns a bit sweet, then that turns into slightly sweet citrus. I think thereβs some malt, but the hop is so great I am not sure. The finish continues with that light sweet character, balanced by hop. The sweet must be malt. The grapefruit persists for quite awhile. This is just wonderful stuff.
