GBBF. Cask. Clear dark brown beer, light malt. Trace of dry bubblegum. Finishes dry with a small amount of hop. Okay but pretty dull.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as a light note of metal, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish.

From cask. Pours deep brown with a golden orange glare and a small off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted and toffee caramelish. Breadish malty, roasted and vague fruity. Ends dry and bitter.

On gravity at the Tuckers Maltings Beer festival, Newton Abbot 23/04/10. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. Bready malt aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavour had some hedgerow fruit and a touch of caramel, before a pronounced bitter finish. Ok.

Cask @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, coffee notes, toffee, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. From the Jersey Bar at GBBF. Almost rosewood in body colour, some beige bubbles on the surface. Smell of dark fruits and roasted malts. Slightly roasted malt-fruity taste with lighter hints of anise. Dry ending. Thin to medium in the mouth (Earls Court, 07.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is nutty, syrupy and also has soem fruity and red berryish notes in it. Flavour is caramel, nuts, some fruity hops as well as mildly diacetylic notes.

Dark nut brown color, small steady beige head. Fudge and dancing diacetyl in the nose. Caramel, earthy maltyness in the flavor. Light palate. Lingering hard toffee aftertaste. (6/3/5/2/10 2.6)

Dark nut brown color, small steady beige head. Caramelly, chocolaty and nutty aroma. Flavor has also caramel, nuts and then wood. Light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Simple. (7/4/6/2/12 3.1)
