Clear golden pour with a smaller white head. Smells like peanut butter and honey! A bit malty, but that sweet and nutty aroma really caught my attention. Tastes malty with a sweet honey and oats/wheat. Creamy mouthful. Different and fun. Thanks BuckeyeBoy.

Pours bright gold into a shaker. Fluffy bright white micro head leaves sinkholes and spiders as it slowly recedes. Crisp citrus and resin aromas. Sweet and slightly flat with a lasting bitter caramel finish.

Now this has a really nice hoppy nose on it, piney and resiny with a nice spiciness that reminds me of hallertauer. Really nice clear golden color with a firm one finger bright white head. Spicy hops dominate the flavor, but there’s a honeyed malt in there. Unfortunately the malts thin out toward the finish, leaving it unbalanced toward the bitter hoppiness. Man, I love the smell of this.

Nice label on this bottle. Dependable clear yellow pale lager colors and head. Smells a little sweet with a sense of strong ale, perhaps lemon. Strongish malt on back of tongue. Good non overpowering fizz. Do I detect a hop bite? Overall a pretty good beer except for the mild and medium uvula personalities. I was expected something a little different for a label with a sun on it. Doesn’t wheat beer have sludge on the bottom? Hey! This ain’t Founders! Oh, now I see the word hop on the front!? Seems to have more hops than wheat. Similar in satisfaction to Arcadia Sun and JW Dundee’s Hefe. I’ve tasted pale lagers that are more wheatlike than this.

Poured a transparent slightly murky gold color with a very foamy white head. Smells fruity and sweet and not at all wheaty. Flavor is sweet and malty and only slight hoppy. Very well balanced and crisp and the perfect summer beer. Very drinkable.

Wonderful aroma of caramel, pine resin, pineapple and oranges. This is, by far, Hop Sun’s greatest aspect however as appearance is pretty plain... golden color with no head to speak of. Flavor is a bit watery... the piney aspects of the hopping come through nicely, though. The crisp fruit promised in the aroma is just not there. It’s not bad or anything, just that the aroma promised a bit more than it delivered.
