Bottle: Dusty gold pour with lots of haze and a large, creamy white head. Thick, soft lacing. Aroma is citrus, wheat, and cloves. Flavor is more mellow with hints of bananas, citrus, wheat, spices, and light yeast. Smooth and creamy mouthful. Thanks to tytoanderso for this trade item.

I can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet! - anyway - hazy gold beer, with a clingy, soapy lace - a lot of lemon and orange zest in the aroma, with a little bit of peppery and floral character, and tangy wheat and citrus - the flavor is a little bit too sweet, but other than that, this is some pretty complex and tasty stuff - tangy orange starts things out before the sweetness become dominant - as the sweetness develops, so do strong flavors of flowers and herbs, reminiscent of a saison - a tiny bit of phenolic character/banana reminds you that this is supposed to be a weizen - a bit of ginger and pepper in the finish - a little bit of hops and herbal bitterness as well - a decent offering, but I’d like it more if it were dry rather than sweet.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is of decent bananas and a nice citrus and clove. Flavor is decent with some yeast and a nice bitterness with a little pepper and alcohol. I never thought i would ever see a 8% Geman Hefeweizen but this works.

Pours clear gold into a Weizen. Fluffy bright white micro head with medium retention recedes to coat surface leaving no lacing. Bubblegum and clove aromas. Soft with upfront bubblegum and a strong, lasting clove finish.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden/orange hue, almost no head. Aroma is banana, yeast, cloves, and alcohol. The beer’s flavor is much like any hefeweizen, but with a discernible alcohol flavor. Overall it isn’t a bad beverage, but it goes against my own personal choice of a hefeweizen being a beer I drink to refresh my palate on a hot day.

Bouteille 650ml, courtoisie de Hogtownharry. De couleur dorée et voilée. Nez de levures fruitées assez sucrées (bananes sucrées, léger d’agrumes et de pêches), épicé (clou de girofle, léger de poivre et de coriandre), malté de sucre bonbon, léger de houblon herbeux (notes florales), de blé et léger d’alcool doux. Moyenne-ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture crémeuse et aux petites notes visqueuses. Goût de levures fruitées sucrées (moyen de bananes sucrées, léger d’agrumes et de leur zest – surtout citron, traces de pêches) et d’épices (clou de girofle, léger de coriandre) avec des petites notes de gomme balloune lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de blé, un léger de sucre bonbon et des petites notes de pain puis en finale l’on retrouve un goût légèrement amer d’alcool doux aux notes réchauffantes, moyen-léger de houblon herbeux et légèrement floral ainsi que des notes de levures épicées (poivre). Post-goût moyen et aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux (notes florales), d’alcool doux, de levures, de blé ainsi que des notes aigres de fruits (zest d’agrumes, pelures de bananes).

A good beer. Clearly recognizable as a hefe. The alcohol is clearly prominent however. Moderate wheat, banana, and citrus in the aroma. Sweet flavor, with wheat and alcohol, like a barley wine-weizen. Not bad in any way, but not as full bodied or flavorful of the best of the style, and there is a bit too much alcohol.

A hazy blonde weizen with a thin lacing white head. A citrusy banana aroma with notes of cloves. In mouth, a clean wheat beer with light bananas and cloves, and good alcohol warmth. Medium bodied.
