A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes.

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured a dark brown color with a small beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter grapefruit, pineapple and lemon. The flavor was tangy sour caramel with notes of cocoa, pine, grapefruit, hop peppers and wood. The finish was long, fruity, piney and earthy. Moderately full bodied. A bit too harsh for my liking. Ok.

From a 220z bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a snifter. Dark frothy white head that leaves very nice lacing. The beer is dark rusty orange in color. The aroma is floral and grassy hops and sweet malt. Taste is extremely bitter. Medium bodied and thick textured, it has average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, this beer is awesome. At 7 bucks a bottle, I’ll definitely be buying it again!

Sweet tasting with burnt sugar and caramel. Surprisingly not too bitter though it does have some hops and grapefruit.

Sample at the 2nd Annual Olde Worthington Beer Festival on 7/10/2010. This beer is a clear amber color with a thin off-white soap-sudsy head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing. Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrus, piney hops and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a malty base that lingers awhile. Decent beer all around.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, faint head. Concentrated spicy caramel aroma. Sweet, hugely caramelly with aggressive resiny bitter orange building up to an inky hugely bitter finish.

bottle - Pours amber-orange with a one finger head. It has a big grapefruit hop aroma with some underlying malt. The flavor is of big, crisp, grapefruit heavy hop bitterness with some caramel malt that supports it nicely. It’s full bodied and overall an excellent brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is mostly tropical fruits, with some citrus and pine blending in. Flavor again has a lot of juicy tropical fruit flavors, blending with some resinous notes and citrus, plus some caramel malts. Wow, I’m really loving the blend of flavors. This is really good.

Bomber from Archer Liquors. Pours amber copper with a foamy off-white head. Lots of resin aroma hop. Medium plus body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lots of (mostly resin?) hop over caramel. But the effect is tremendous. Finishes well balanced. Quite tasty.
