Bottle. So I was a little confused in the beer store today by this... looked so much the same as last year’s batch... then the slow realization that this was batch XI, not batch X... Anyhow, with nothing on the bottle about what was inside, I took a chance. Maybe next year they’ll toss us a hint at what’s inside. Anyhow, pour is a coppery color and has a fairly decent sized head that has disappeared as the beer sat while other people were busy bossing me around the house. Aromas are enticing: pine and pineapple, a bit of sweetness, some spice. Flavor is spot on until the very tail end of the finish... up front there is a nice malt presence and then a wonderful transition to a hops blast that makes you think a bit. The aftertaste is a bit funky, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. On the first sip, I considered finding the sink, but it seems to have grown on me a bit...
