Off white frothy head stayed well on a hazy, dark copper coloured, still body. Big aroma of over ripe fruit, malt, stewed fruit & apple. Medium to full bodied with a well carbonated body. Feels quite smooth on the palate & there's a tingle on the back. Taste is much as the aroma, malt forward with stewed fruit, grape, citrus, hops, pith & grapefruit.

330ml bottle, trade with MonsterMagnet. Pours a deep hazy amber, medium off-white head. Good pine and marmalade presence in the aroma. Continues to taste with a nice robust pine / exotic hoppiness and a welcome malt sweetness that adds nicely to the body and overall character. Bright bitterness. Good DIPA.

Bottle from Monster Magnate, EU Local Swap 2017. Pine and resin aroma. An opaque dark amber. Large frothy (a tad) off-white head. Light bitter which gains strength into the finish. Citrus marmalade. Hoppy but not overly so. Medium bodied. Slick, almost sticky. Light carbonation. Low key finish. The kind of Imperial IPA I enjoy, hoppy but doesn't go for the throat.

(330ml bottle sample @ Cafe de Koffer, Groningen, Aug 21/17) Pours hazy medium orange with a frothy white head and some lace. Notes of sticky sweet caramel malt with a little toffee, bready/biscuity grain character, impressively strong resin and citrus peels (orange, light grapefruit), pine needles, grass, light tropical fruit, a bit of spiciness to the hops, alcohol not completely masked. Finish is strongly bitter and resinous with lingering sweetness from the malts, and quite a lot of alcohol as it warms. Medium-full boy with light carbonation. I liked it as a sample, but it was pretty heavy handed and completely old school, not really the style I'd choose to drink in volume.
