Bottled:
Pours deep amber with a thick head, good lacing. Fruity toffee and hop aroma. Flavour has some toffee, a great deal of hops and even more alcohol. Quite one dimensional.

Bottle. Reddish-amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit and light caramel aroma. Caramel, grapefruit, and light pine flavor. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Caramel, grapefruit, and light pine linger. More like a hoppy barleywine.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is malty hops, some alcohol and grass as well as some slight spices notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but has some slight glueish notes disturbing the otherwise nice while. Seems like the Pugleys Signature Series are actually very nice and interesting compared to Shipyards "normal" beers.

Bottled 650ml (at Chriso) Clear amber color, not much head. Woody-fruity Cascade aroma in the nose. Very fruity flavor: pine, resin and honey. Quite soft bitterness. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. I had to say that I am suprised to get such a good beer from Shipyard.

Cask at Redlight. Deep copper color with a thin, fine head. Fresh citrus and pine nose. Honey and caramel malt in the background. Light carbonation. Spicy and peppery hop flavors. Malt is a touch fruity with the signature Shipyard yeast profile. Moderate finishing bitterness.

Bomber from GM Liquors. Nose is very floral hops with a touch of ivy, caramel, and a slight vanilla note. Clear copper with a medium off white, glass lacing head. Flavor is lightly bitter with a touch of toffee, the bitterness becoming more pronounced in the finish.

Bottle from BevMo in Encino. Pours with a fluffy, khaki head over a clearish, deep orange body that leaves good lace. Aroma of oranges, yellow grapefruit, caramel, earth, sticky toffee and CO2. Taste is disappointing. Soggy malts upfront with wheat and a light fruity hop bitterness. I know this is a fresh bottle, as this is only rating number #14 for this beer, but the hops seem almost faded and dominated by a sub par malt bill. If I didn’t know better I would think this beer was aged, but instead it seems like a crappy recipe for an DIPA. Medium carbonation. Bland and sub par for a IIPA.
