Bottled. Clear amber, rich creamy head. Grapefruity nose. Very sweet with clean hard mouthfeel. The hops collide badly with the immense swetness, making it harsh and inky. Some butterscotch tries to round the wost edges of this simplistic and unrefined beer, but it’s all in vane. Finishes with pine needles and inky bitterness. With more ink than hop aroma and really poor malt structure it’s the least enjoyable IIPA I can remember.

LCRBM 2009. The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is copper-brown, modest zippy, creamy head. Tastes strong hoppy, not too dry. Intense grasy-woody, a little bit alcoholic. All in all very good!

Bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds.Poured a very appealing clear bronze colour with a medium sized creamy beige head which hung around. A lot of appeal in the aroma which had buckets of piney citric hops mixed with caramel malt. The resinous hops and caramel malts are tantalisingly prevalent in the flavour which I found myself enjoying in a very big way. The 9.2 abv barely registers on the alco-radar. Really lovely body and balance to this. Great lingering bitter finish. Top Class. I have friends in Maine I haven’t seen in 16 years.... Time for a visit methinks !

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, and spices, leading to a very bitter finish. Thanks joergen.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Perfumy hop aroma. Medium body, caramel and fruit with perfumy hops, discreetly peachy. Massive bitterness - a little rough, but not too bad. 130909

66 cL bottle, courtesy of Harrisoni. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry spiced, wooden and hoppy. Bitter, fruity and wooden flavoured. Mild citric and wooden flavoured finish.
