Ein untergäriges Bier mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 4,8 % vol. und einer weniger betonten, sehr ausbalancierten Bittere. Sein malzig schokoladiger Geschmack mit einem Hauch Karamell macht dieses Bier nicht nur bei den Traditionalisten sehr beliebt. Am Gaumen lässt die weiche, fein moussierende Struktur anfangs die Süße spüren, bevor der wohlproportionierte Körper seinen malzigen Kern freigibt.

Small fizzy-creamy shortlasting head, clear light amber color. Aroma is slightly sweet mineraly, weeds, butterscotch, bark, minerals, sour grass, yeast, soil, very overripe banana. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, weeds, caramel malts, hay, minerals, sap, dried grain, yeast, butterscotch, paper. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh grainy mouthfeel. Meh!

On tap at the brewpub. Leicht trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer ordentlichen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht karamellig, röstmalzig. Geschmack karamellig, nussig, herb, etwas viel Kohlensäure.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours cloudy dark amber with small light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of caramel and touches of butter. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with notes of hops and grain, and sourish fruity hints. Lingering, rough aftertaste. OK.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Some caramellic notes. Light bitter nice herbal/grassy flavor nicely blended with caramel. Strange but it works. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

On tap. Pours a clear warm amber with a creamy off-white head leaving broad curtains of lacework. Roasted, nutty nose. Medium body, roasted malts and nuts with a vague underlying note of fustiness. The finish is dry with a surprising alcohol presence. 231009

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, strawberry, notes, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, spices - among them licorice, and a bit of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and a bit of nuts, leading to a dry finish.
