Bottle. Pours clear light golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, yeast, and malt. Sweetish, malty and estery flavour with regular bitter, hoppy notes. Somewhat rough aftertaste, with notes of cardboard. Medium body. An Ok pilsener but nothing revolutionary.

500ml bottles from Appellation Wines, Dalry. Classic vegetable nose, straw yellow in the glass, good white head and lacing. Light bitterness, good to sweet finish. Good for the style. Refreshing.

50 cl, clear bottle. Why does any brewery still use clear bottles?? Pale gold color, fizzy carbonation leaves a tiny, thin head on top of beer. Nose is malt and grain. Taste is sweet malt, straw and a mild bitterness that has a crisp, dry bitterness. Grassy hops. Weak bread notes. I guess overall, it’s standard for a style I don’t drink often. Even for being shipped in a clear bottle it doesn’t show any problems.

Half liter bottle from a mixed case, poured into conical pilsener glass. Very clear light yellow with lively carbonation and thick, but light head. Strong nose of hops. Typical German Pils , very drinkable. Mild grassy, almost hay-like taste, but no bitterness. I’m more familitar with (and they’re more widely known for) their schwarzbier, but this was quite enjoyable.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with steady bubbles and a generous head. The nose has that herbisch thing that some Pilseners do. There’s also a nice amount of pale malt in there. The taste lemon, herbs, creamy malt and then lemon again on the end. The palate is close to medium bodied with a tight creamy texture and a long, clean but elegant, finish. Overall, a good pils.

Bottle at the Abbe-Mensa in Jena. Goldenoid body. Bready nose. The taste is the classic Classic German Pilsener - remarkably dry, ending with a solid herbal hoppy presence. Actually quite better than I expected!
