bottle from Bierzwerg. Cloudy blonde colour, large white head. Fruity nose. Malty, wheaty and fruity, shy hints of banana and mango. Very pleasant carbonation. A very nice example of the style.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong and yeasty, not too dry. Fruity notes follow, some pineapple and apricot. Also a bit nutty. Finish is still strong, well balanced. Very drinkable. Good weizen!

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it at a store in Germany en route to Plzen. Poured a murky dark orange body with a bigh, thick creamy white head that went away slowly. A bit fizzy. Cloves and honey in the nose. Starts off quite unimpressively, with a light sweetish body with only cloves to show off but soon enough the bananas emerge and make this a more tolerable experience. Fine light acidity and some dust. Not as bad as I first thought it to be but it’s just ordinary and a little boring.

Bottle (by kind permission of joss !) Hazy, golden coloured, quite stable and creamy off-white head, wheaty-sourish-yeasty nose with a distinctive touch of bananas; sweetish, also slightly sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, soft MF; shy fruity (oranges), sweetish-sourish finish. A drinkable Weizen..........
