Gold with a frothy, white head of modest duration. Aroma of dusty grain, grass, metal. Taste is bitter, metallic, mineral-like. Mild hints of a buttery, doughy sweetness underneath. Finishes the same, and dry, with a prickly carbonation. Thin, but not watery. No thanks, but honestly, no worse than your other average, industry Helles.

On tap at Eittinger Fischerbräu (taphouse for the brewery) Thursday 3rd April 2025 after a 16km cycle ride from Freising. Pours clear warm gold with a large white head, the nose is mostly malt but perhaps I can pick up a little grassy hop. Clean, fresh and straightforward helles, soft mouthfeel, a little bit dry on the finish. Fine.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden with a fluffy head. Grainy, malty, metallic, hay, sourdough. Metallic bittterness, grainy malty sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, dry grainy metallic sweet finish. Average Helles.

Eittinger Hell, Flasche von Getränke Fleischmann, FS. - Satt goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase nur blasses, leicht strohiges helles Malz, Anklänge an Seifenlauge, äußerst blasse Hopfung. - Antrunk blaß süßsäuerlich und vage hellmalzig mit schwacher, leicht zitroniger Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent, dünn im Mund. Im Abgang schwache zitronige Herbe. Leicht plörriger Nachtrunk. - Nicht die angepriesene mehrfach prämierte Spitzenqualität sondern eine schwache Leistung, dünn und belanglos. (15.5.2022.)

Goldgelbe Farbe, ordentliche weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, leicht fruchtig getreidig. Geschmack getreidig, malzig, insgesamt zu schwache Aromen, dadurch sehr süffig.

Tap at Erdinger Sportscafe, Munchen Flughafen T2, 26/01/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white head that retains well. Nose is lemon sherbet, grassy, straw, pale malt. Taste comprises lemon rind, straw, cereals, light caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little prickle, semi drying close. Ok helles.
