Bottle, trade with papsoe. clear hazy brown, small light brown to beige head. hoppy and nutty aroma, typical ESB bitterness, but a little more flowery. dry yet slightly malty sweet, sligthly caramelly sweet. flavor is sweet caramelly, slightly syruppy, slightly flowery, the hoppy bitterness is quite low, and it’s almost as if the alc. bitterness is trying to round up all the sweetness. It doesn’t work very well, and flavor is as i see it quite dissapointing for an english bitter. After a few sips, the flavor seems to go not that sweet again, and the bitterness becomes more pronounced, and it is sort of herbal.
