Rødhætte blev lanceret i 1987. Den er i familie med Blålys, stadig med en fyldige smag – men lettere. Albani Bryggeriernes kirkelignende svalebakketårn er afbilledet på både Rødhættes og Blålys’ etiket.

330ml bottle, 5.5% ABV, from the bar at Hotel Plaza Odense. Bright amber body. Film-type patches on the surface. Sweet malts mixed with dark fruits to the nose. The taste has got a mild marmalade touch added by sweet malts. Gets very sweet but has got its moments of joy (Odense, 10.11.2010).

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge and dense off-white head. Mild malt aroma with a minor sweet note. Flavour is medium sweet to dry with a good portion of malt and a decent hops bitterness in the finish. Good brew, but nothing Christmassy about it.

Bottled (5.5%). Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is metallic, buttery and slightly caramellish malty. Flavour is metallic, overly sweet malty. Yet very watery and boring.
