With a delicate grassy and earthy hop aroma, the refreshing bitterness of this beer is balanced by the subtle malt flavours which make for an extremely drinkable pint that has a dry finish and lasting after taste.

12/13/2008 Mail order in Barton Mills, Suffolk, UK. A bit thin, not much aroma, no head. Not enough hoppy bitterness for a pale ale. Not impressed.

Fra cask på White Hart, Crawley 22 Jan 14. Mørk gyldenbrun. Middels høyt luftig skum. Beskjeden humlearoma. Gjenkjenner bryggeriets huspreg. Smaken er svakt krydret. Holder seg uforandret. Litt syrlig i avslutninga. Ikke noe typisk IPA - men bra for styrken.

--> 12,12,13,11,12,12 - 12,00

Cask@Charlies Bar, Copenhagen - Amber pour with a medium off-white head. Non distinct hops, sweet caramel malt, grassy, straw, some herbs. Kind of weird overall. Not great.

Bottle at home - 16/09/12. Clear golden amber with a thin off-white head that had vanished within a minute of pouring. Orchard fruits on the nose, caramel, toffee apple, grain, cereal, buttery diacetyl notes. Tastes of damp grass, buttery, toffee, fruit. Meh ! Light bodied, quite wet, soft carbonation. Crap tbh!

275ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. More a traditional English Pale Ale than an IPA, as used as a mixer in the traditional "Light and Bitter". Amber, little head and heavily carbonated; aroma of stewed malts; similar flavour; some reasonable dry hops to finish.
