Bottle: Clear, amber, lacy white head; sweet fruity (some raisins detectable) nose, shy hops underneath; moderate bitter sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft; raisins again in the bitter-sweet finish. Unspectacular, but quite O.K.......

Old bottle, L195. Murky brown pour. Smell is a little yeasty and sweet. Yes, old beer flavors. No detectable carbonation. Weird beer personality, with hints of barley wine. Good description on the label. Full, yes, Body? I dunnoh. No sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Seems like a mild stronger ale if thats possible. A tiny bit of gaggy in there. Finish.......too old to rate, Iโll have to try this again soon. Ratherm crude linger.

Bottle 50cl. @ Chrisoโs pre GBBF Shindig โ09.Clear light to medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, oxidide. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090801]

Location: 500 ml bottle from Gilly's, 6/19/09
Aroma: Earthy sweetness, brown sugar, bready malts
Appearance: Clear amber-orange color
Flavor: Mostly bready/earthy malt sweetness, almost no hops to speak of
Palate: Thin, light body, smooth
Overall Impression: This beer was alright, its really sweet, I could hardly taste any hops in there...
Not a bad beer, but it's just a little too sweet and light for my liking...
