MIRA Tripel Hop

Bottle. A lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a small, white head on top. The aroma is lighlty sugary, with pale malts, some grass and hay. Alcohol notes. The flavor has a nice fruityness, with pale malts, white sugar, grass and some hay. A little warmth in the flavor, with a nice carbonation level. A bit high perhaps, but nice. Long semi-dry finish. Not very much interesting going on here, but it’s a decent one. 150524

Pours slightly hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, yeast, sugar and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long yeasty and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours a hazy pale golden color, topped with medium sized, frothy white head. Aroma of mild fruits, overpowered by a strong yeasty presence. Taste starts sweet, mildly yeasty and slightly soury, moderate hoppy presence. Not really what I wanted/expected.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Slightly more hoppy than normal belgians. Moderate bitter and light sweet flavor. Some fruity esters. Average mpoderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Again a bit more hopps than usual.

33cl bottle. Thick creamy white head. Hazy golden pour. An ok beer but where are the hops? It needs some hops.

Bottle: Golden, cloudy, stable creamy foamy layer; moderate to solid lemony and citrussy nose, yeast and wheat underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite light bodied; slightly lingering sweet-bitter yeasty and citrussy finish. Quite O.K., but does not taste better than Your every-day’s Duvel...

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, grass, light citrus, lime, light sweetness. Flavor is light sweet, malt, yeast, little spice, grass, light citrus. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. 161214

Commissioned beer with three hop varieties and its own Facebook page for commercial purposes. Tasted from a one year old 75 cl bottle. Medium thick, snow white, stable, sticky head, colour a deep golden blonde, clear at first but quickly turning cloudy as the bottle progresses. Aroma of dusty yeast, orange peel, dried leaves, cardboard, ginger powder, raw potato, thyme, gin, peach, apple peel and even a hint of ’lightstruckness’ at first. Taste begins with a dry fruitiness, some sharpish carbo, dried citrus peel, crisp and soft with a somewhat bready maltiness, yeastier in the finish with bittering leafy hops, but not nearly as hoppy as I expected (and hoped). Clearly past its prime, I am willing to assume this is hoppier and a lot better when young; the lightstruck effect (green bottle!) was already a hint of the hops deteriorating here.

Bottle, 6.5%. Nicely citric aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Small white head. The flavour is chalky and slightly grapefruity. Sweetish finish. Quite harmonious, but could use a bit more punch.

Bottle @ Wannsinchen / MiP bliver gammel. Pours hazy lightish amber with small white head. Clear aroma of fruit and citrus, with notes of malt and yeast. Sweetish flavour of fruit, with bitter, hoppy notes and floral touches. Hints of yeats. High carbonation. Rough and citic aftertaste. Okay.
