33 cl. bottle sampled @ Streekbierweekend 2014. thx! for sharing people. Hazy apple, little white head. Sweet apple, sugar nose, malty, yeast,… Taste is sweet sugar, apple, candy, bread, sweet spices, citrus, lots of yeast. Body is thick yeast. Bland BE, Tirpel hop? What where? That is just straight-up false advertisement as far as I am concerned.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Martinus. Opaque yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, yeast, typical Belgian Ale flavors. Not bad but drinkable covers it all imo. Hops? Hmm, not really.

Bottle @ benzai. Very hazy pale yellow with a medium sized white head. Smells malts, herbs, fresh, slightly hoppy, slightly grassy, Belgian yeast. Tastes Belgian yeast, malts, sweet, slightly banana, herbs and spices. Thin to medium body, slightly fizzy carbo.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Moderately yeast-spicy, mildly malty and slightly sour-wheaty aroma with citric, herbal and slightly grassy hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Initially yeasty malty taste with rounded herbal, grassy and slightly fruity hoppy accents; sweet and mildly bitter finish with mildly grassy and fruity hops. Nice one, but according to its name I expected a bit more hops character. 22.V.14

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Bought mainly because I liked the bottle design. Curiously it doesn’t actually state what 3 hops it uses, which seems strange. It does have a distinct ’tripel’-style influence in the taste, with additional citrus, spices and a little maltiness. It’s an intriguing beer that seems a little unsure of itself. Still, quite nice all the same.
