Batch IDCA13 (Idromele Castagno 2013)
Measured Final Gravity: 1060
Golden color, unusually hazy to cloudy for a mead. Strong honey aroma, chestnut honey, acacia honey, but also buckwheat honey; it’s nice because not soapy, but normally you’s expect less honey in a fermented product. Sweet mouthfeel, strong honey flavor (mix of chestnut and acacia).
Since the alcohol is low and doesn’t show much, it tastes like a honey tea.
