Fra fat på bryggeripuben 14 Jan 18. Delt med Rune. Ultradyprød. Filmskum med litt farge. Spotlacing. Lett sjokoladearoma. Smaken sjokolade & nøtter. Behagelig lett tørr avslutning.

300ml draught at Hops & Barley. Shared with Finn. Beige tophead, laces well. Almost black in the glass. Black malty flavours with hints of ash and dark chocolate. Roasted malty ending. Clean in the mouth. True to the style. Quite pleased. (Berlin 14.01.2018).

Tap at Hops and barley, Berlin. A glorious dunkel, so much flavour and smooth like a Guinness. Malty, caramel, not too heavy though . Very good.

Draft at the source. Hazy ruby maroon color, beige head with nice retention and lacing. Aroma of cocoa on burnt toast. I can’t read my handwriting about the taste, but I remember more burnt brownies sorts of flavors.

Dark brown color. Light chocolately nose. Mildly chocolatley. Watery and not that special.

Hazy dark and subtle red color with a fine tan head. A bit fruity and bready aroma. Medium body and a soft to average carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. A bit fruity, herbal and bready flavor. Decent nice dunkel.

Draught at the brewpub on 20th Jan 2014. Pours a very dark brown, almost black in fact, on top a tanned head. Slightly over roasted malts in the aroma, some coffee hints (which is why I thought their Coffee beer was this with added Coffee granules). Tasted fine, mild coffee notes within a rich malty flavour. Sweet and bitter moments in the mouth, interesting without being intriguing. Different and more than OK.

Draft @ Hops and Barley, Berlin. Cuivrée, col blanc cassé. Arôme est malté, grillé, caramel léger sur un houblon modéré. Palais est malté, caramel, touche fumé modéré sur un grillé tout aussi agréable. Belle effervescence gardant un fini houblonné fleuri et légèrement fruité. Malt oscillant sur le grillé et caramel moyen, effervescence moyenne pour encore un malté rappelant un petit clin d’œil à Bamberg avec une pointe de fumé.

On tap at Hops & Barley, Berlin. Deep mahogany with a tan head. Malty aroma with some roasty notes, caramel and hints of spices. Sweet, malty and bready, but well balanced with a light bitterness. Very nice dunkel! Fresh, delicious and very sessionable. I can drink this all night (and I did try that one time some years ago and it did work) (2013-10-11)
