Tap at the brewpub, Berlin. Pours hazy, red-brown with a foamy, cream head. Dark bread, toast, and a bit of cocoa in the nose. Delicious flavor, mild roasted toast, tasty cocoa and dark chocolate, some burnt wood and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clean and balanced finish, with rich toast, burnt caramel, mild leaves and earth, dry cocoa. Very impressive beer. Yes, I’m quite impressed.

Draft @ Hops & Barley Berlin. Pours red-brown, creamy white head. Small coffee bean-like sourness and also some (for a dunkel) unexpectedly fresh hop notes in the aroma. The taste is somewhat strange, yet interesting. A small touch of citrusy-like hops and some smoke with the usual suspects dark malt notes.

Dark reddish-brown. Sweetish, earthy with a nice caramel character. Earthy with light toffee and liquorice. This is a nice dunkel.
