Son arôme doux et velouté nous conduit vers une saveur agréablement houblonnée et boisée.
Elle libère en fond de bouche un goût très fin amer voire fumé et alcoolisé.

Bottle. Different label than above - listed as Trple Amber Ale, but alcohol is the same. Rich amber beer with an off-white head Rich malt and dried fruit aroma. Yeasty, malty, plum flavor with too sweet of a backing. Medium bodied. Lingering sweetness with some earthy yeastiness.

My beer day ends with this little puppy. As I am writing my recent reviews I am still finishing off the remnants of this brew. I do not know whats going on with this beer but I too have a different label and it says 9% plus it has a pic of Botticelli’s Venus on a half shell. Hey I love art and beer but in this case I may need to be cautious. First of all, this was just a single bottle at the counter of American, which I bought yesterday and fridged for about 12 hours. Also on the label they make an effort to call it an "amber" belgian ale. Well, "amber" is usually not a good thing in my book. So here we go. Poured amber of course. Can see through the beer however. Nice medium foam but it faded into a lacing around the glass. Aroma is belgiany sweet but overtaken by a fishy/alcohol smell. Taste is belgiany sweet but light, watery and thin. Stings the throat a bit as well. I expect more from you Belgium and more from you Botticelli. And to think I paid 4 bucks for this bottle plus it was 11.2 oz (i hate that number).

Crystal clear amber colour. Lasting thick white head. Caramel and boiled sweet/barley sugar aroma. Some peppery/spicey hop and bit of cream. Good toffeeish strong beer with some hop to balance. Its a bit boiled in the mouth, so not perfect, but I like this. Smooth and alcohol doesn’t spoil it.

On tap at Centrum Hotel, Beersel. Reddish amber ale with a thick white head. Aroma of light malt, light coriander and wet dog. Nice sweet malt in mouth, well balanced with hops and sharp alcohol, with a gin finsih. Some metallic notes develop as beer warms up. Nice. April 2005.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy golden with a fine, huge head. Extremely potent and full-bodied beer with lots of sweetnes (did they drop the sugar bowl in this?). Some hints of caramel too. Not unpleasant though as things are evened out in a lightly bitter finish. 301196
