0,5 l bottle. Clear golden with an huge more than two finger white foamy head. Smooth intensive grainy caramel on the nose. Taste starts grainy, present bitter hop, increasing strong malt in the background, bready elements. Mid carbonated. Interesting stuff.

Plank-Bier Helles, Flasche von REWE, Parsberg. - Dunkelgoldgelb, klar. - In der Nase leicht brotiges Malz von milder Süße und milder ätherisch-herbaler Hopfen. - Im Antrunk dann unerwartet kernige zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe, kandierte Orangenschale, ätherische Kräuter. Erst darunter auch tiefe Malzigkeit von dezenter Süße mit einer Andeutung von Honig. Milder rezent, angenehm mineralisch. Im Abgang solide zitrusfruchtig-herbale Herbe. Langer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Kernig und doch elegant gehopftes Helles mit Tiefgang, das so manches fade Pilsner in den Schatten stellt. Weitaus besser als die Bewertungen hier erahnen lassen. Bottle at CBB. Malty, biscuity nose, a bit old and oxidized, some caramel, no hop. Cloudy, deep gold. Sweet honey and biscuit flavor, a bit of peach and orange. Meh. It’s old, I mean not past drink by, but hasn’t traveled well at all. Tasty enough, but more like a Heller bock.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and slightly strawy aroma, minimally floral, a spicy touch of hay. Taste is slightly grainy, minimally malt-spicy, a hints of hay, a cautious floral touch. Slightly better and a bit more spicy than an average Helles.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, minimale Bitterkeit.
