Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, minimal würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, würzig, gering schokoladig.

Bottle (from bierzwerg.de, found in an old box). Amber/pale copper colour with a mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is roasted malts, some ashes, mild toffee, chocolate and slight syrupy notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some toffee, toasted malts, mild coffee and some slight ashy notes as well. Quite much bitterness in the finish. Not sure if this is along with the Reinheitsgebot due to the strong syrupy notes in it...

bottle from pivnizub - díky! Clear, amber-copper colour, mid-sized head. Malty body with hints of roasted malts, caramel and cocoa powder. Slightly hoppy in the finish.

Clear amber coloured, minimal off-white head, sweet malty caramel nose. Slight roasted malt, caramel and dried fruits taste with notes of dried fruits and cocoa. Dry finish, pleasant dunkel.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted biscuit malt. Sweet malty, caramelish and slight roasted. Slight bitter and medium dry finish.

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, smaller - rather quickly collapsing - off-white head, visible carbonation; moderate sweetish-caramelly nose, with a subtle fruitiness and a nutty tinge; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied; light caramelly and (citrus-)fruity finish with a even lighter bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite a tame Dunkel.......
