From tap at the brewpub. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty and light annis seed like spiced. Bitter, herbal, dark roasted, mild citric and annis seed like again. Dry, rather bitter and almost spiced finish. Rather bitter building far finish.
