A refreshing pale lager brewed with birch to capture Estonian nature and sauna culture.
Taste: From the first sip to the aftertaste, strong birch sauna whisk notes prevail. The beer has a rather full-bodied character. Although birch is dominant, it is pleasantly balanced with malty sweetness and a touch of citrusy hop bitterness.
Appearance: A clear golden-yellow beer with a dense, long-lasting white head.
Nose: The aroma is herbal, with a strong dominance of birch leaf scents. In the background, there’s a hint of sweet maltiness characteristic of lagers.
Malts: Pilsner malt, Dextrin malt
Hops: Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Birch

Paleish golden with a bit of haziness to it. Average sized white head, shows good retention and some lacing. A not too intense but pleasantly fresh aroma, with a half herbal/half balsamic feel accompanied by citric notes (lemon most clearly detectable). A bit of malty sweetness in the back, can't detect something specific though. Maybe the slightest hint of prickliness/spiciness to the aroma as well. As for the aroma, the taste is moderately intense but nicely refreshing. Some delicate sweet malty foundation, kind of just a feeling more than actual flavours. I don't really know how birch should turn out, but in this it comes as something halfway between refreshingly herbal and balsamic, with what i can't describe better than some sort of delicate woody sweetness on the back of things. Citric notes are a significant component too, as the aroma suggested, and there's indeed a hint of prickliness. Perhaps the slightest bit of sourness to complement a sweetish mouthfeel; sweetish but still refreshing, with a dry enough feeling in both taste and aftertaste. Light body, carbonation is about average and delicately crispy; drinks more or less as easily as expected for the abv. Overall: turned out as a beer that fits well with this scorching summer; a slightly unorthodox refreshing lager, not very intense or complex but well made.

At home tonight, enjoying this perfect weather after a day of work. Interesting one, malty, crispy, a bit woody, smooth and dry, hint of tropical fruit, bitter, rather light body, bitter and refreshing, light touch of strawberry at the final.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which died off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark berries, birch wood sweetness; sweet grass and herbal tones, slight maltiness
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet quality: finishes malty and with the birch tones
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also a little bit of dryness
Overall: okay lager to me but if I heard correctly this is a gluten free beer.
