Is there anything better than a cold pilsner on a hot summer’s day? Ørbækker fits the bill perfectly. It is fresh, crisp and easy to drink - with much more going for it than your average pilsner.
Our Ørbæk Pilsner is a Czech-inspired pilsner. We decided to use the Czech Saaz hop, which was already used in the 19th century when making traditional pilsner in Czechoslovakia. It is a unique hop, which lends the beer a lovely floral aroma.
Ørbækker is a real thirst quencher, and the Czech inspiration gives it a lovely, fresh taste. The fresh taste of flowers and light grapes is followed by an aftertaste of apricot and mandarin.

Bottle @ Kosmos, Odense. Pours a hazy golden colour and a frothy white head with little retention. Aroma's: fruity, malty, tea/leafy hops. Retronasal it's sweetish, malty. Flavour is light malty sweet with a hint of bitter. Light bodied. Quite high carbonation. Finish is not very long, slightly dry and light bitter. Quite pleasant.

33cl Bottle at Verskade Zaandam. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is light malty, a little floral, some cookies. Flavour is light malty, floral, light nutty, hint of lemon, soft bitter finish. Light bodied. Soft, pleasant pils.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, hay and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long grainy, hay and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy. To sweet and grainy for my liking.

Big offwhite lasting head. Clear yellow body with carbonation. Fruity strawy oily aroma with grainy notes. Sweetish fruity dusty resiny taste with spicy strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish spicy fruity dusty aftertaste with grassy notes. Nice, drinkable, clean, fresh. Lovely summer beer. (0.33l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)
