Ardennes blond session ale with thin, yellowish white head and deep brownish peach blonde colour, completely cloudy like soup from the first pour. Aroma powerful citrus (lemon juice, orange peel), bread, apricot, honey, coriander, sour cream, cardboard. Sour taste, almost like a lambic but probably due to undesired infection, lemony, old cardboard, lactic acid all covering a caramel maltiness, peachy fruitiness and grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Probably okay, had it not been infected so much (the soupy appearance was an ominous sign). I wasn’t even able to finish it.

Orange with a lasting white head. Spicy yeast aroma with tropical fruits. Slightly tart fruity flavour

Bottle 33cl. @ home.Clear medium to dark orange color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, perfume, citrus, orange, spicy - almond ? a spice the is used in food. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, the finish is light vinegar sour and sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090429]

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is earth, sourness, some mild notes of eartgh. Flavour is quite much the same along with quite sourish wooden notes. Strange thing.

bottle, pours hazy orange medium white head. Yeasty and sour aroma with grapefruit and lambic funk. Light malt, orange and lemon juice and a tart gueuze in the finish. This is interesting to say the least. Crazy tart and lingering funk finish. Glad I got to try this, but it’s not my thing. Sour lovers would enjoy this one.

Small white head, with some lace; clear foxy-orange colour. Mustard seed, or real (green) Dijon mustard, pickles, Thai herbs. Special! And not bad,neither. Same, slightly fiery, very spicy mustard taste (like tarragon mustard). Touch of caramel. Good balance, all the same. Sourish ending, like lemon on celeri. Not very well-bodied, spritzy. Very original taste - which makes me doubt seriously this would be another St. Monon ambrée clone . What the Dickens did Jacob add to this one?
