It honors our dear friends, Fauna, the originators of Cascadian black metal, and celebrates the next era of their journey into “ the swallowing mist”. Ochre and Ash is based on our Cascadian dark ale, but with a mild taste of cherry wood smoke. It is crushable, while still strong at 7.2% abv. Keeping the flame burning of black IPA /Cascadian dark ale. Our way of reminding beer drinkers of this very special Pacific Northwest beer style.

Pours a deep, dark brown, bordering on black, with big, tan head that lasts. Aroma is burnt toast, smoked grain, some pine/citrus hops. Flavors follow. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Mild hop bitterness in the finish. A really nice example of the style.
