Imperial Pastry Stout
Brewed with our forever pals Kev and Basil at Finback in New York, USA, Skewer is one of the biggest and tightest pastry stouts we’ve done to date. A 7-grain double-mash with an eight-hour boil provides an incredibly deep and rich base to express more cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and toasted coconut than we’ve ever used in a beer. Ever. Their fans are no stranger to their affinity for coconut, so working with the Finback crew to bring some of that coco love down under has been a real pleasure. Brewed with the power of beer & friendship, and to be enjoyed the same way, take your time and drink it in.

From a 440ml can on 16/2/2025. Pours near black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly. The nose is chocolatey and cakey. Tastes of dark chocolate, chocolate mudcake, caramel with a touch of vanilla and coconut. Finishes with a moderate roasty bitterness that takes the edge off the sweetness, but it's still very dessertish. The palate is slick, super syrupy, and somewhat creamy, with the carbonation moderate. Yet another sweet tooth's delight from these guys.
