This doesn't seem much like a pale ale at all, but more like and english strong ale, considering the low hop presence, moderate malt sweetness, and distinct roasty characteristics - low carbonation, mild yeastiness, cloudy appearance, and somewhat creamy mouthfeel combine to make this feel almost like a cask-ale experience - damp and musty - brown sugar and molassas - sweet malts make way for bitterness and some bready, biscuity flavors - it took my palate a while to adjust to this one, but once it did I thought it was decent.

Bottled. The aroma is lovely hoppy. The color is amber but it has a flat head. The flavor is fantastic, it is sweet and slightly hoppy - and ends on a lovely bitterness from a great hop. It has a good palate for a British beer, is that the 5.5 ABV?

A very good beer - I almost came away from this one with a new favorite. It has a nice floral hoppy aroma and sweet and floral flavor. I downed the glass quite quickly and wished I had bought a second bottle - and for sure I will.
