From old tasting notes. Amber orange color topped by a beige head. Sweet fruity malt aroma. Sharp, sweet tingly malt flavor has a spicy malt character. Interesting spicy hop finish balances this ale nicely.

Part of the "12 Greatest Brews of the World" sampler pack found at my local Wal-Mart. This is the most blatant case of false advertising I have seen since Budweiser first tried to convince us that drinking their beer would give you rock hard abs and a bikini-model girlfriend. Let''s start with the fact that the beer isn''t even RED. It''s orange. Not even reddish-orange, just orange. I am guessing it might not really be from Scotland either. Anyway the aroma has a little malt and caramel going for it, as does the flavor, but overall it is woefully thin and flavorless.
