Bottle. Reddish-amber color with white head. Aroma is grape seeds, herbs, spices. Taste is grassy, green, some redcurrant. Near-flat. Not too great.

Bottle. Pours hazy light Red. Nose is bitter pips, red currant, red grapes, wood. Palate is full on red currant, some bitter pips, sour finish. If this would be available in black currant I would love it!

Hazy dark orange. Aroma is red currant, lots of pips. Taste is sweet berries and sour berries. Some champagne and/or wine. A hint of vinegar. Fresh and spiky. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours cloudy reddish amber. Aroma is redcurrant, funk, berry, dust. Body is medium, sour and tart, still fruity, redcurrant, funk, short and sour. Good!

750mL bottled 2017, drunk 6/10/17.
Pours quite a hazy, earthen/clay-red with golde/maize hues and tons of chunky sediment on the bottom, just like the Nectarine. Small, pinkish-beige head shows moderately-low retention.
Placeholder review. Not intended to be used to gauge the beer as this thing was in the middle of a massive bottle refermentation and is obviously still too young. Obviously I COULD rate it given that the brewery has released it and this is what we got, but I know this is a good beer and can’t wait to revisit it in a year or so. Anyways, I’d definitely hold your bottles for at least another 6 months as this thing was chalk full of all sorts of mid-fermentation biproducts. Beans, veggies, tons of sulfur, light butter. You name it. Sourness had a slight acetic tinge to it though a lot of that may have been the very dry, bright, sharply acidic fruit character. Carbonation was a bit loose and the beer was horribly messy and quite undrinkably bad, currently. Score would actually be well-under 2.0 but I’m going to leave it around average for now as I fully expect the beer to be great after the yeast finishes working.

Bottle (from etre). Pours bright red. Aroma is sour, grass, red current, acidic, chalky. Flavor is sour, grass, fruits, red current, acidic, dill. Finish is sour and acidic with more red current. Overall: ok.

750 ml. bottle split with Kraddel. Cheers! Super bright red current juice with no head, flat. Faint ditch water in the nose but overall massive red current juice & low faint vinegar sourness. Taste is very faint rotting red currant, largely just red current, some juice, some actual fruit, puckering like the fruit, low vinegar touch, basally flat bit watery, faint barrel, low wet rotting ditch water barrel in the back, doesn’t bother me,... This is just massive, glorious red current which I adored, very little funk, just massive, massive fruit. I adored it but we let some other people try it and they didn’t care at all for it.

Bottle split between 77ships and myself. Pours red / amber. No head. Smell is funky, dry, wood, some berries. Taste is dry, funky, mushroom-like ’old’ notes, oak, dry fruityness. Some sourness. Although quite drinkable and fitting the beer, this did seem a bit off in the lines of ageing problems. Wet oak, even some mild cardboard in a fresh released lambic beer, is really stange to get... Perhaps one of the barrels didn’t do so well ???
