50cl beer from M&S, Camberley. A golden amber pour with a thick cream head; malty aroma; malty taste with a dry grassy bitterness; and a malty finish. A plain and simple malty bitter.

500ml bottle of "Yorkshire Bitter" from Marks & Spencer. Brown with a rapidly disappearing beige head; almost completely flat and liveless; earthy, malty aroma;thin and watery, with a taste of caramel food colouring. Unpleasant. (3/2/3/1/6).
Re-rate 500ml bottle of "Cropton Yorkshire Moors" from Westholme Stores, Goring. Chestnut with a thick cream head; strongly caramel aroma; tart fruit flavours to start then burnt caramel; smoe bitterness towards the end, but finishing sticky sweet. (6/3/4/2/10)

Bottle from Supermarket in North Yorkshire. Rich amber colour with a pale beige head. Aroma is fruit and toffee, with malts. Taste is bittersweet, and fruity. Medium body.

500ml bottle from a local Tesco store. Decent beige head to a clear dark brown coloured body. Firm lacing. Aroma of mild leafy hops and brown malts. Liquorice, caramel and herbal hoppy flavours. Bittersweet ending of leafy hops. Soft in the mouth. Fair enough (hotel room, Leeds University 06.07.2014).

Medium beige head. Clear reddish brown head. Light nutty dried fruit aroma with earthy cocos notes. Dry-sweet earthy dusty roasty taste with chocolatey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy fruity aftertaste with dusty chocolatey notes. Nice, drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from House of Trembling Madness, York.)

Füllig hopfiger Antrunk, in dem einen minimale Säuerlichkeit gefällt und für Frische sorgt. Die Hopfigkeit ändert sich teilweise und wird malzig, die Säuerlichkeit wird stärker und ist nun deutlich erkennbar. Der Hopfen gerät so mehr und mehr in den Hintergrund, was auch an der aufkommenden scharfen Herbe liegt, die im Abgang zur Bitternote konvertiert. Weiter vollmundig, angenehm erfrischend. Nussig-säuerlicher, leider leicht wässriger Abgang. 11/11/11/10/10/11

At a tasting, thanks Dror, dark rusty orange, with some reddish taints, aroma of stale bread and sunflower seeds, flavour of nuts, hay and stale bread. Drinkable but maybe a bit over the hill.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks Dror. As Marks & Spencer Yorkshire Bitter. Hazy amber to light brown. Aroma of malt, biscuits, some fruitiness and light floral notes. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, biscuit notes, some fruitiness and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a big and rocky, slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty, slightly dusty and toasty malty nose with a tinge of berry fruits and citric hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toasty malt character with bready notes, caramel and a rather subtle fruity touch; quite dry, toasty and slightly hop bitter finish. Okay. 28.VII.10
