Pours hazy deep gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel, biscuit and resin aromas. Sweet caramel upfront turning to nutty toast before the lasting resin finish.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy dark amber with a 4 finger foamy off-white head. Aroma is very earthy and lightly resin. Med minus body. Flavor is floral and earthy with a touch of resin. Definitely different. Finishes dry and hoppy.

Bottle. Pours with a very large, just barely off-white head over a clear fully golden hued body. Full retention. Very citrusy, zesty, piney hops. Lots of grapefruit rind, light tea, very floral. Light passionfruit, some light esters (but mostly clean). A hint of bready warmth. Flavors are bready, a touch nutty-malty, and just a touch sweet (probably more perceived fruit sweetness from the hops than actual sweetness). Very nice pine, floral, tropical fruit and kumquat like hop character. Relatively clean yeast (all things considered). The hops shine through. Bitterness is tempered in the overall character. Alcohol is a bit more noticeable than one would expect at 6.5%. A slightly refined/delicate floral note to the hop bill. Otherwise this is a pretty tasty IPA of the caliber that I would expect from Jeff and Mike. Medium to slightly fuller carbonation with a medium-low body. Still feels pretty fresh despite the distance traveled.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, glad I found this one. Slightly hazy orange/amber colour, dense off-white head. Aroma is quite Belgian, yeast, XX Bitter-like, malty, light bready, straw, light fruity, firm hoppy in a non-fruity way. Flavour is light sweet, malty, light buttery, oranges/clementines, green leaves, firm bitter hoppy somewhat grassy finish. Medium-bodied. Not quite what I expected, but this has the De la Senne-stamp all over it. Good.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium, consumed at home in garden whilst cooking pizza in pizza oven Sunday 14th October 2012. Pours clear light amber, good clarity with a white head. Nice soft carbonation citrussy with lemons showing predominantly, little hoppy burn, good bittersweet balance, as usual a very good beer from this brewery. A7 A4 T8 P3 Ov15 3.7

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers.
