Bottle at home in London. Pours faintly hazy ruby-amber with a large, resilient white fluff head. Aroma holds herbal grass, dry pine, ripe berries and citrus, some lightly toasted bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, some toasted sugar, brown bread, bitter grass, a bit of Belgian yeast, some juicy pine, light alcohol, orange. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Juicy, lightly resinous finish, some minerals, dry pine needles, ripe fruits, dark grapefruit, herbal grass, subtle alcohol, some papaya and mango. Quite a good IPA.

# 15 De La Senne // bottle sampled @ GBF 2012 // lightly hazy amber with a white head // nose is chock-full of American hops, pine, marmalade, small touch exotic fruits as well with a hint of mango // taste of bitter marmalade, grapefruit, lots of pine resin, pineapple, very bitter, drawing out a bit the exotic fruits, bitterness lingers on // rather creamy delicious body // great IPA // rather atypical for De La Senne // cool to see them branding out

Small rim left, golden beer. Hops, LOTS of ureum, but also corn, cornflakes. The same flavours/aromas as in the nose, but more intense: more hops, more cornflakes. Cornflake flavour doesnβt allow it to be refreshing, which is a pity. Rather light body, if slick. Not a real IPA in my book, yet a nice beer. Brewer signals me rating is probably erronous. Needs urgent retry, if possible.

Pretty cloudy amber muddy brown beer, big creamy off-white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very piny, lots of exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit, some ripe peaches. MF: nice carbon, medium to full body. Taste: quite some citrus, pineapple, very piny, nice bitter hops, bit grassy. Aftertaste: nice piny bitter hops, lots of resin, passion fruit, bit of stinky feet (Challenger?). Best Belgian IPA ever, I think.
