Das dunkle Cannewitzer Bock wird nach einem alten geheimen Rezept gebraut. Es ist männlich stark, charaktervoll durch seine sympathische Röst-Note eines dunklen Malzes, es läuft flüssig – süffig über die Zunge.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of metal, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, malt, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry, bitter, and metallic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear orangey brown with a creamy off-white head leaving some lacework. Sweet aroma of burned caramel and pumpernickel. Good full body and a solid malt base with plenty of roasted malt and pumpernickel accents. Subdued bitterness. A very pleasant Bock. 140509

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a finger-thick, beige head. Caramel and butterscotch on the nose, rather one-dimensional. Butterscotch, some roasted malts, sweetness, some grains and a little dried fruits in the mouth. Medium body. Sweet, caramel finish. Not my idea of a dunkler bock, and not very successful I think. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white head. Breadish and roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt, breadish and with a light mix of sweetness (caramel) and bitterness. Leading into a medium dry roasted breadish finish.
