Oatmeal stout with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes
a chance encounter between Cabernet Sauvignon and an oatmeal stout has resulted in a wine-dark sea of chocolate, caramel, and toffee underscored by dark fruit. Lush and velvety, it’s decadence in a glass.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Dear Prudence were sourced from Hedges Family Estate, a biodynamic vineyard in Washington’s revered Red Mountain AVA. To bring out the full character of the fruit, we pureed the grapes and added them during secondary fermentation. The result is an invitingly smooth stout worthy of contemplation.
Brewed by Cameron Pierce with a healthy assist from Dave Coyne

On tap at Dark Arts. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity nose, ash. Roast, chocolate, dominant dark fruit, red wine, ashy. Very smooth, tasty. Works well.
