The first in a series of one-off IPAs that use new techniques or hop combinations and have a distinct flavor from our year-round IPAs. this beer employs extensive Hop Bursting, that is massive additions of hops later in the brewing process in lieu of a traditional bittering addition for hop character. over 5 lbs of hops per barrel of beer! 6.3%

Retitled the Amateur hour. Reddish body with white head. Citrusy hop aroma. Hop body with a malt badge. Half of the tongue finish.

On tap in PDX at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A rich lemon nose, floral at times. The flavor is bitter, not too much of a malt base, lemon zest especially, light tropical fruit, some grainy and meaty flavors. Good.
