Cask at The Globe, King’s Lynn
Dark mahogany color, with generous creamy head. Light caramel aroma. Some caramel flavor, but it also has a dry and metallic feeling. Some roasted malts in the final.
First pint of the cask, obviously fresh, but simple and a bit dusty. Simple.

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear amber-brown with a medium, off-white foam. Lightly toasted malts, light fruits and leaves in the nose. Sweet flavor, some toasty dough, light tangy dark fruits, some subtle toffee. Light bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Clean, sweet, malty finish, with undertones of toffee and toasted leaves. Not bad. Pretty basic mild.

Cask at The Kings Head in Earls Court. Pours dark amber with a light beige head. Darkish fruit aroma. Flavor is like raisin/cherry combo over smooth darkish malt. Not so much bitter as fruity. Almost fruity cola. Very nice.

(Cask at Kings Head, Earls Court, London) This beer had a lot of dunke like characteristics. There were malts, molasses and some caramell. Bitterness was low and hops were quite mellow. I enjoyed drinking this one.

Medium offwhite lasting head. Deep dark brown faintly hazy body. Faint caramelly aroma with earthy notes. Dry-sweet roasty caramelly butterscotch taste with dusty roasted rice notes. Incredibly smooth and mild mouthfeel. Light body. Dry cinnamon and wood aftertaste with caramelly notes. Very, very nice, and incredibly drinkable. (0.5l cask at Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich, London.)
