Bottle. Very hazy, golden yellow. Large 4 finger head that settles into a smal head that never goes away. Aroma is sour mash with slight dry wine under tones. Taste is very light for a Berliner with the usual sourness but not too bad.

Bottle at volo.
Hazy yellow pour, medium white head. Aroma of sour wheat, and light lemon with some subtle herbs. Watery, and thin mouth feel, medium carb. Lacklustre finish.....watery, like a glass of water with some lemon in it. Subtlely tart, with faint lemon notes, and the wheat gets lost.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is wheaty and fruity with notes of citrus and lemon. Flavour is moderate sour with a hint of sweetness and a dry finish. Light bodied and crisp. Easy and enjoyable refreshing Berliner.

# 411; 8/2016. Velmi dobrý Berliner Weisse. Velmi svěží, výrazně trpce kyselý, citronový. Horší, trochu hadrová vůně.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

1 pint, .9 oz bottle.

AROMA: Lemon, yeast, apples

APPEARANCE: Pours a clear golden yellow with a tight, white, frothy head that lingers a long time.

TASTE: Sour and tart with undertones of apple. Reminds me of a slightly sour cider.

PALATE: Light bodied with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Finish is a bit sour and slowly wanes.

OVERALL: Not at all what I was expecting. But I'm sure that's due to me having never tried a Berliner Weisse before. I'm not a big fan of sour beers, but this one is not super sour. So I could see myself drinking one of these whenever I'm in the mood for something a little different.
