We teamed up with Otterbein's Bakery in Baltimore for another round of The Holiday Collection beer and cookie pairings. Try this one with a Chocolate Chip Cookie and you'll immediately realize nothing else matters at that moment.

12 oz bottle courtesy of a friend, thanks Mike! Very dark clear brownish, not quite black. Small amount of beige to light tan head. Aromas of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, hint of licorice. Tastes of roasted coffee, malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, touch of licorice. A bit different than I’d expect for a baltic porter, still good though.

Raisin and charred oak nose. Cola brown, medium yellow head, good lace. Strong savory roast and char notes, slightly meaty hearty malt, oats, elderberriers on the edges. Raisin finish. Medium body, soft and blood-like texture, alcohol well concealed. Damn, this was a fine porter. Exfcellent!

Bottle from mix pack from total wine. Pours deep brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, grasses, indiscernible spice. Flavor is sweet chocolates, coffee, anise, hints of oatmeal. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
